Pro-Valentine's

Contrary to popular (two previous blogs) belief, I think Valentine's Day is awesome. Pretty much due to the fact that it makes you feel good (emotionally). I think it's pretty cool to be in a relationship during Valentine's because one: you get a candy gram or two (sweets never hurt anybody), two: you realize that you have someone to share memories with (whether that is making out, sharing inside jokes, or saying corny stuff), three: celebrating love shouldn't be seen as a bad thing.

On another note, Valentine's Day is not about LOVE only its also about FRIENDSHIP. I take the 14th of February as a day to thank my friends for everything they have done for me, being there, etc. AND it's a great excuse to have a SINGLES party.

Valentine's isn't necessarily spending money, you shouldn't if you don't want to. Some people, based on our society's consumerism, show appreciation this way (by giving gifts). And I bet that you wouldn't say NO to a gift.

So in conclusion, if you're in a relationship be thankful for that because more than a billion people don't. If you're single it's not the end of the world, and you can do whatever you want (hit up those Valentine parties) and celebrate your independence!
