What’s your favorite subject? LUNCH (I don’t blame you).

When I think about lunch I think yelling, noise, garbage, laughter, cliques and horrible food, but lunch is like heaven if you really think about it. It is the time when you can release all the stress that has built up after having 150 minutes (or more) of class non-stop. I find it necessary to mention the horrible food sold in every high school cafeteria. I hate it when after being in line for 15 minutes there’s no more good food (pizza, sandwich, quesadillas) left and I have to decide between fermented chicken head or the beans and rice made from the leftovers of the day before. Students should create a lunch utopia, which consists of “ a plaza that is contiguous with counters of multiple food vendors and provides a common area for self-serve dining” a.k.a food court.

Apart from the nasty food, lunch is a nice time to enjoy with friends and faculty members. Not really, just friends…Lunch can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Most of the time people just talk with friends, gossip about what happened during the weekend, ask what’s on the history test, or enjoy the delicious Pretzels sold at twice its normal price (Cheddar is the best flavor). There are some lunches that are out of the ordinary, for example, people throw “flan” at the wall (the crappy food is to be blamed for these kind of actions) or everyone in your table seems to be having a hard day and just decides to yell at each other over the most dumb stuff and you just happen to be in the middle of everything. Regardless of what kind of lunch it is, I am certain that around of 85% of the laughing that takes place on a regular school day is during lunch; therefore lunch is something we all wait for and now that I think about it, lunch is one of the things I’ll miss the most of high school
